General Purpose Controllers
Omron’s
newest series of "general perpose" temperature controllers, the E5*N series,
feature four DIN-sized models 1/4 , 1/8, 1/16, and also offer the very compact
1/32 DIN with 24 X 48mm front dimension.
These controllers feature a dual display, which allows the operator to monitor
the performance at a glance. On/Off or 2-PID (auto-tuning and self-tuning)
control methods are available. Other features include multiple alarm outputs: 3
points on 1/4 & 1/8 DIN models, 2 points 1/16 DIN and 1 point 1/32 DIN. Also
dual control: heat or heat/cool, and serial communications or event input
options are available. The IP65 front panel makes these models ideal for any
environment. OEMs can confidently build these temperature controllers into
equipment for domestic and international use since they conform to CE, UL & CSA
standards.
In the general perpose controllers also the E5CS is available, the most sold standard controller in the world. This multi-range 1/16 DIN controller with a standard 8-function alarm offers field-selectable PID control with auto tuning or ON/OFF control. Other features include tamper-proof setting, memory backup, input shift and diagnostics. The large single-display shows process value, direction of deviation from set point, output and alarm status.
