More than 80% of low-voltage switchgear assemblies throughout the world are used in mains systems up to 400V. Compact starters and high-capacity compact starters from the PKZ0 and PKZ2 systems are also designed for rated operational voltages of 500V and 690V. They control high short-circuit currents here as well.PKZ2 high-capacity compact starters are inherently short-circuit proof for rated operational currents of up to 40A (30kW). Short-circuit currents of up to 100kA can thus be switched safely. At the same time, the units satisfy IEC/EN 60947-4-1 requirements regarding type "2" coordination. This ensures very high operational continuity. Downtimes after a short-circuit are reduced to a minimum.PKZ0 and PKZ2 compact starters represent a more economic solution for standard applications. They comply with IEC/EN 60947-4-1, type "1" coordination.
