With their excellent rotational characteristics and more than 200% starting torque, the DV range is one of the most efficient vector-frequency inverters in its class. They are ideal for heavy starting or other demanding applications such as conveyors and lifts.

Autotuning for automatic configuration, direct thermistor input and the PID closed loop controller all contribute towards optimum process operation.

The DV5 has a rating range 0.18–7.5kW and the DV6 has a rating range 0.75–132kW.

For world markets, country- and industry-specific terminal voltages such as 115V, 208V, 240V, 460V and 500V are permissible in addition to the standard voltages, 230V and 400V.

Simple connection in compliance with EMC standards (product standard EN 61800-3) is ensured by integrated mains filters. A modular construction offers a wide variety of options for standard or specific applications. Four independent parameter sets, an integrated PID controller, configurable digital inputs/outputs and intelligent modules permit a cost-effective transfer of control functions to the drive controller. The devices are factory-set for standard applications, and only have to be mounted and wired by the user. For special requirements, settings can be made via a keypad or Windows software.

The DV5/6 series is complemented by an extensive range of communication modules. As with DF5/6 frequency inverters, DE4-NET modules enable PROFIBUS DP, Suconet K and INTERBUS network connection.
